The climate Alicante has one of the best climates in Spain. Rain is almost unheard of here. With over 300 sunny days a year, you can enjoy tapas on the terrace even in winter. At the top, you'll find the Castillo de Santa Bárbara. This former prison is free to visit and has small exhibitions in several areas. Along the route over the mountain, there are places to grab a bite to eat and drink. You don't have to walk the entire route as you can take the lift to the top.
