Valencia is a student city, and you'll likely encounter many international students.. There is an abundance of accommodations available, so you don't need to worry about finding a place when you start working in Valencia ! What to do in Valencia?🚀 Do you enjoy the occasional party? Well, then you're in the right place!! The Valencians sure know how to throw a party. 🎉 In spring, they celebrate 'las fallas,' a festival that lasts almost the entire month of March to welcome the arrival of spring. Each neighborhood in Valencia creates enormous puppets that are as tall as the buildings. At the end of the festival, these puppets are set on fire to symbolize the expulsion of the winter's negativity and make way for spring. To celebrate summer, locals run into the sea together on the longest day of the year, June 21st, and there are numerous bonfires on the beach. Many Spanish families go picnicking on Sundays in the Turia Park. There, you can also make use of fitness equipment, playgrounds, soccer fields, a running track, and bike paths. The bike path is quite extensive, making it perfect for walking and cycling. Following the Turia park, you'll also pass by the famous 'Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias,' the modern “spacecraft-like” buildings for which Valencia is known for. Biking is very popular in Valencia, partly because the city is so flat. Furthermore, the sun shines in Valencia for over 300 days a year, making it ideal for a bike ride every now and then. In Turia Park, food truck festivals are often held and adjacent to the park are the beautiful botanical gardens, which are definitely worth a visit. While Valencia may be a big city, the abundance of greenery makes you feel like you're not in a large city at all. Valencia’s culinary delight 🌯 The Valencians are definitely food enthusiasts! Did you know that the origin of the famous paella is right here? Moreover, churros are also very popular! Try them in combination with the local drink 'Agua de Valencia,' a delicious alcoholic beverage with orange juice. After all, Valencia is home to countless orange trees! If you want to watch your budget while working in Valencia, consider visiting one of the 1,000 locations of the Montaditos chain you can find. Here, you can get delicious sandwiches, fries, other snacks, and much more at a very affordable price! On every corner or in every alley, you'll find a restaurant where you can enjoy an affordable lunch. Ruzafa Ruzafa is a trendy neighborhood with trendy restaurants and cozy coffee houses. This area is known for its lively club scene and cocktail bars. The streets are wider, and the buildings have a more upscale appearance compared to the rest of Valencia.
