It's July: the holiday season is about to begin! It's time to relax on a sunny beach, discover a new culture, and enjoy delicious food and drinks. Read on for the best destinations in this summer month!

#1 Porto

Porto is a vibrant city in northern Portugal. With an average temperature ranging from 16 to 26 degrees Celsius, Porto is perfect for a city trip in July without excessively high temperatures. Porto combines historical charm, cultural sights, and delightful cuisine. One of the highlights of Porto is the historic district of Ribeira, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you can wander through narrow streets, enjoy beautiful views of the Douro River, and relax on cosy waterfront terraces. A visit to one of the famous port wine cellars is a must. Scotland offers breathtaking landscapes with rolling hills, expansive lakes, and rugged mountains, making it a perfect destination for those who love adventure and relaxation. There are several reasons why July is an excellent month to visit Thailand. July is part of Thailand's low season, which means it's much less crowded and prices are significantly lower. Although it's the rainy season, most rain showers are short and intense, providing a refreshing break from the high temperatures. So your entire vacation won't be washed out! Additionally, there are plenty of things you can do during a rain shower, such as getting a Thai massage, taking a cooking class, or shopping in one of the many large shopping malls. Thailand is rich in beautiful beaches, which can be found on islands like Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui. Here, you can relax under the tropical sun, enjoy crystal-clear waters, and go snorkelling or diving. Furthermore, Thailand's cultural treasures are a must-see. A visit to the bustling capital city of Bangkok is a must-do, with impressive temples such as Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. In the north, you'll find the city of Chiang Mai, surrounded by green mountains, where you can explore famous temples and participate in traditional Thai activities. Other popular activities include exploring colourful floating markets, tasting delicious Thai cuisine with its spicy and exotic flavours, and discovering national parks such as Khao Yai and Erawan. In short, a trip to Thailand offers the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and culture!

#6 Greece

Greece is a perfect destination for a vacation in July, thanks to its fantastic Greek islands. Kos, Zakynthos, Crete, or the lesser-known islands of Naxos and Milos: they are all beautiful and excellent to visit in July! These islands offer breathtaking landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and a rich cultural history. Santorini is one of the most popular islands, famous for its white buildings with blue domes and stunning sunsets. Mykonos attracts many visitors due to its vibrant nightlife and beautiful beaches. The island of Rhodes has a medieval charm with its old town and the Acropolis of Lindos. And of course, the picturesque island of Crete should not be missed, with its beautiful beaches, historic ruins, and welcoming atmosphere!
