Living and working in Alicante

The perfect mix between an authentic Spanish city and tourism: Alicante. When you work in Alicante, you'll notice that many Spaniards truly enjoy life and work to live, not live to work. The culture is also easygoing, the locals are friendly, and they often find it very enjoyable to see that you're coming to live in Spain.

Alicante

Alicante is the perfect mix on the Costa Blanca. With over three hundred thousand inhabitants, Alicante is the largest city on the Costa Blanca after Valencia. Interestingly, this city is a less popular destination for city trips compared to Valencia, meaning you have more opportunities to discover the authentic Spanish culture and connect with the locals! Alicante is a true blend of an authentic Spanish city combined with tourism. In addition to Valencia and Barcelona, Alicante also boasts a beautiful promenade: the Explanada de España. The adjacent beach is one of the best in the area! Alicante is a very lively city with a vibrant nightlife. This city is perfect to work and live in!

The climate

Alicante has one of the best climates in Spain. Rain is almost unheard of here. With over 300 sunny days a year, you can enjoy tapas on the terrace even in winter. For a sun holiday, Alicante is perfect; from June to August, sunshine is guaranteed! ☀️

What to do in sunny Alicante

There are several hotspots you must visit during your stay in Alicante! One of the coolest is Benacantil! At the top of this 166-meter-high mountain, you have a stunning view over beautiful Alicante. Highly recommended for a visit at sunrise or sunset! At the top, you'll find the Castillo de Santa Bárbara. This former prison is free to visit and has small exhibitions in several areas. Along the route over the mountain, there are places to grab a bite to eat and drink. You don't have to walk the entire route as you can take the lift to the top. You can also walk through the beautiful Parc de l'Ereta. In this lovely park, you will find several fountains and charming restaurants. A must visit!
