Step 4, you got the job!

You got a lot of information about the application process or have even finished the entire process of getting a job abroad already. Now you can relax a bit and read about what happens after the job interview.

This blog is part of our blog series: application guide: the process for finding a job abroad! Have you read them all?

Got the job?

It usually takes about 2 to 4 business days to get an answer on if you got the job. Sometimes the employer contacts you directly with the news, other times the information comes through Yobbers. We will let you know straight away when we have news about your job. We also love to hear from you if you have been called with the news, good or bad.

What if I did not get the job?

Not getting a job is always shit! Luckily it does not mean your adventure abroad won’t happen. You are so far along in the process that most of the work is already done. You have a personal recruiter, an amazing CV and know the drill when meeting the employer. You and your personal recruiter can have you in another interview in no time.

What now?

Getting an accommodation is one of the most important things to arrange now. Some jobs have an accommodation including what saves looking for a place to stay. But if you have to arrange your own place, Yobbers is your travel partner and you will get all the help you need. Our Relocation Experts will support you every step of the way. From housing to documentation and making sure you are fully prepared to move abroad.

Even before flying off to your destination you can schedule an appointment with a Relocation Expert. Just ask your personal recruiter about it.

Communication

The most important communication now comes from the company you got the job at. The job offer and any other documents that are needed will be sent to you. If your job includes a free flight you will also get your ticket that way. So make sure to check your spam folder regularly, especially if the job includes relocation assistance.

You are not alone at this point. Yobbers is still by your side. Even when you are already at your destination we will stay in touch and make sure you are settling in alright. If you have any questions, just contact your personal recruiter. They know the ins and outs of working abroad and are sure to have some tips and tricks to make the most out of you time abroad.

The referral program

No matter if you are still at home, at your destination or already back from your adventure. If you inspire someone to work abroad with Yobbers, and they get the job, you will get €300. Read more about the referral program

Share content

We love reading stories about your adventures or getting pictures from your journey. If you want to share some content with us we really appreciate it. It’s a daily reminder why our work is so important! You can share content here or send it to your personal recruiter.

Go again?

When you worked abroad for a while you might just have fallen head over heels for the lifestyle abroad and want more. Believe us, you would not be the first to stay abroad or go for another adventure. If it’s discovering a new culture again, keeping your life as interesting as possible or just not wanting to go back to the “normal” 9-5 lifestyle you have left behind, you can always get another job with Yobbers in many different countries.

Now there is nothing left to read about the application process. It's time to find that job abroad or send an open application. Have fun!
