Located in the Mediterranean Sea between Sicily and the North African coast, Malta is a small but spectacular island nation known for its rich cultural heritage, beautiful beaches, and ancient ruins. No matter the time of year, there’s always something to do in Malta. Here’s a roundup of the best activities the island has to offer each month!

 

January- Visit the Blue Grotto Caves

 Kick off the year with a bang by visiting the stunning Blue Grotto, a series of sea caves located on the south coast of Malta. Take a boat tour to explore the caves and swim in the crystal clear waters.

 

February – Visit the Blue Lagoon

February is the ideal time to explore the Blue Lagoon, located on the island of Comino. The crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches make this one of the most beautiful places to visit in Malta, and the perfect spot for a day of relaxation. Spend your day sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling in the warm waters, or take a boat tour and explore the nearby caves and coves. Next to that, you could spend a day at the Malta National Aquarium to explore the underwater world of the Mediterranean Sea. Get up close and personal with the native marine life, including sharks, dolphins, and turtles.

 

March – Visit Mdina

March is the perfect time to visit the walled city of Mdina. Located in the centre of Malta, Mdina is an enchanting city full of narrow cobblestone streets, stunning architecture, and a rich history. April – Explore Gozo

April is the ideal time to explore the beautiful island of Gozo. If you’re looking for something a bit more active, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy such as canoeing and kayaking. December is also the perfect time to experience the festive atmosphere of Valletta. With its stunning lights, decorations, and markets, Valletta is the perfect place to spend the holiday season. Spend some time exploring the city, admiring the Christmas decorations, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
